The more that you need to see answered prayer, the more juvenile your faith.
That’s right. A lot of Believers have faith that is constantly wavering. If God answers a prayer – their faith goes up. If things haven’t been going well and there is unanswered prayer, their faith plummets. Faith is a decision not a feeling. You must choose to trust and believe in God – whether He answers your prayer or not.
Read through any of the gospels – Matthew, Mark, Luke or John and you will see over and over that Jesus uses analogies with nature. Why? Because all we see around us is a miracle. That is why it is so critically important for you to get outside and pray “Lord, show me your glory.”
This morning I went for a six-mile bike ride. I saw a rabbit, a turkey and two yellow finches. They were the glory of God! What joy it brought to my heart.
Here is the problem, we think that if we win the lottery, or get a nice car or are supernaturally healed – that those are miracles. They can be. But we need not wait for big answers to prayer when we can find God’s glory in our day-to-day life.
Beloved, take time to find the majestic in the mundane.
“Yours is the day and yours is the night.” Ps. 74:16
His glory is surrounding you, all morning and all evening. We just need to remember to look for it.
