Stop Worrying

But God doesn’t understand this particular situation! Oh, yes he does.  He sees exactly your particular circumstance and what you have to deal with.  Beloved, He knows.

 Jesus said in Mat. 6:25 to NOT WORRY ABOUT ANYTHING!

Worry is a continual tide which daily, slowly moves towards you, always giving you one more thing to be concerned about. Satan loves you to worry, God loves you to trust.

If we don’t worry about finances, clothes, food, bills or relationships we worry about friends or lack of friends.  It is always something.  What is the particular circumstance that you are worrying about?  If we allow these thoughts to continue then that small tide will become a flood.  It will once again drown out all that God is trying to put in you.  

God is saying “Don’t worry about your life – I have all that taken care of, if you walk with me I will take care of  every circumstance that will come your way. Only be concerned about one thing – YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH ME. “

Worry breaks what God is trying to do in your life.  Trust builds what God is trying to do in our lives.  But you say “Shouldn’t I be concerned about what I am going to eat today, what I’m going to wear, how I am going to find a job, how I am going to pay my bills?”  Jesus says you must not. Beware of thinking that God doesn’t understand my particular circumstances – Jesus Christ understands our circumstances better than we do.  He says we must not think about these things so as to make them the one concern of our life. “Each day has enough trouble of its own.”  

How much trouble have you allowed in your life because of worry?  Lets pray.

Dear Lord, forgive me for worrying.  It’s sin and I am sorry.  Give me greater faith to begin to trust you in every circumstance.  Today I give you all my fears, worries, cares and concerns.  You are a big God and I know you will take care of each situation. Thank you.  amen
